Findhorn Moray 2007

This semi-detached house was unaltered since its construction in 1953.  Despite generous windows the original central corridor led to box-like rooms and an overall sense of confinement.  While the external envelope remains largely unchanged the interior is transformed.  Unexpected, delightfully open and light, space flows easily from Living, Dining and Kitchen areas each retaining a gentle sense of containment.  The curved walled Bath/Shower Room houses an intimate bathing space whilst leading one around to the Kitchen and garden beyond.
